Stress-Free Support for Creative Careers — Wherever You Are

Berlin is a magnet for creativity—an international hub where artists, curators, and cultural entrepreneurs come to shape their careers. But as exciting as it is, building a life and creative practice here isn’t always easy. From navigating bureaucracy and production logistics to finding reliable suppliers, building a professional network—or even just making new friends—getting started in Berlin’s art scene can feel overwhelming, especially for newcomers and non-German speakers.

I’m Benedek Hrutka, a freelance art historian offering independent, personalized support for contemporary artists and art spaces. Since 2017, I’ve been living and working in Berlin—after formative chapters in Madrid and Utrecht—and I know what it’s like to arrive with ambition but without a roadmap. My own path has taken shape through hands-on experience in institutions, studios, and visual arts projects. These experiences led me to develop a service that makes the creative journey not just possible—but smoother, smarter, and more sustainable.

Contemport is the name of my freelance practice: a solo, Berlin-based initiative designed to support artists, young galleries, and independent spaces through flexible consulting and production support. This is not a company or agency—it’s a one-person operation grounded in real-world experience, offering tailored help with a personal touch. All services are available online, so whether You're based in Berlin or still abroad, You can access support from wherever You are.

I work with flat-rate pricing and a clear, practical approach—no confusing packages, no hidden fees. Just honest, useful guidance for artists navigating arts administration, funding applications, production logistics, or Berlin’s complex cultural infrastructure. My goal is to help You cut through the noise so You can focus on what really matters: Your work, Your goals, and Your life in this vibrant city.

Beyond one-on-one support, I’m also building a small, supportive community of international creatives in Berlin. Through monthly meetups—held virtually or in person—and an exclusive newsletter, I offer space for connection, exchange, and encouragement.

All services are available in English, German, and Hungarian. Whether You’re looking for guidance as a freelance artist, help as an independent curator, or support growing Your art space, I’m here to help You move forward—with clarity, creativity, and a lot less stress.
